Now I will give you the highlights of the article.
1. Have more sex. Performance anxiety is the main problem so
you have to have more sex to get over it. Think about it this way,
if you are afraid to get into the water to swim, the way you get
over it is to get into the water. It doesn't mean that you will
actually swim the first time but if you don't get over your fear you
will never have the CHANCE to learn to swim. Same for sex. Stop
being afraid of what MIGHT happen. Try it. Ladies, you play a
very important role here. Your patience and understanding is very
important. If you make your man feel bad then you will be forever
missing out. Be supportive. When he gets it right you will be the
one who benefits.
2. Learn to do Kegel exercises. Kegel exercises strengthen the
muscles around your penis and vagina. For men this can help
you control ejaculation. For women, this gives you more control
of your vaginal muscles. Practice by acting as if you are trying to
stop yourself from urinating. Hold that for a few seconds and
work up to hold for 10 seconds several times a day. In a few
weeks you will see an improvement.
3. Masturbate. I know you are confused by this but sometimes if
you masturbate before you plan to have sex you will get the first
quick release out of the way. However, if you are masturbating all
of the time and doing it quickly so you can get it over with you
should probably stop. When you do it quickly all of the time you
are training yourself to release quickly.
4. Use a condom. Condoms can sometimes delay ejaculation
because the sensation is decreased. There are also special
condoms that have Benzocaine in them, Benzocaine reduces
sensation for the man. Unfortunately, sometimes it can reduce
sensation for the woman as well. Pay attention.
5. Talk to your partner. If you are feeling bad about premature
ejaculation but trying to put on a brave face, you are not being
honest with your partner. Remember that when your mind is
preoccupied with other things your body may sometimes be
affected. Be honest. Some couples work around premature
ejaculation by accepting that the first time is probably going to
last just a couple of minutes. Then the guy will concentrate on
the partner's pleasure and get her close to orgasm or work on
giving her an orgasm while he recovers. Now everybody is happy.
6. Practice deep breathing. This is something you should practice
and perfect before you go into the bedroom. When you are
breathing deeply, make sure you are breathing into your abdomen
and not just your chest. Take a deep breath and try to make your
stomach big while you breathe in. When you breathe out try to
suck your belly in. When you learn how, do this several times a
day to reduce anxiety. When you learn it you can practice it in the
bedroom as well. It really does work.
7. The start and stop technique. When you feel like you are
getting close to ejaculating, slow down. Stop penetrating for a
few seconds or a minute. You can be kissing or something else
to take your mind off it. Some men will even pull out for a minute
or two and resume. This works for some people. Some may
squeeze the penis at the base for the same effect. Some women
do this for their men.
8. Medication. This is a last ditch resort. Too many of you are
doing this right away. You can do it without drugs but you have
to be willing to try for more than a day. Try these techniques for
a month before you even consider drugs. Talk to your doctor
about which medication may be safe for you.
Finally - patience and practice and playfulness. These are the
three things that will help.
